We have a strong belief that children learn best when they are fully involved and enjoying their learning; we therefore provide lots of practical activities and experiences in order to engage, excite and expand their thinking. We enjoy working closely with parents and carers and value the positive outcomes we can achieve for our children by building on strong partnerships. We hope our website has the information you are looking for and provides a flavour of life at Grange Farm. To learn more about us though, please come and visit – you will be sure of a warm welcome!
If you would like a paper copy of the information on our school website, please speak to our school office who will provide this free of charge. |

Hello from Mr. Winn
I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year and introduce myself as the new headteacher of Grange Farm. I know that this year has begun under very challenging circumstances and I thank you for all your patience and support while we were organising remote learning and welcoming some pupils back into school.
Normally I would have arranged for you all to come into the school so that we could meet, but at present that is not possible; as soon as I can, I will organise opportunities for us to meet in person.
A little about me, I have recently relocated from Suffolk where I was principal of a primary school in Ipswich, Murrayfield Primary Academy. The school is of a similar size as Grange Farm and I can see many similarities between the two schools. During my time as principal, we saw many successes including the pupils’ outcomes increasing dramatically and the school being judged as Good by Ofsted (the best judgement the school had received for over 10 years). Before working at Murrayfield, I had worked for about 20 years in several secondary schools in various parts of the country.
I am extremely excited to be joining Grange Farm and working with everyone to continue the development and improvements the school has seen over the last few years, ensuring that your children receive the very best education and opportunities to discover and learn. School needs to be far more than just lessons within a classroom, which is why Grange Farm will continue to play an active part in the community.
To me, one of the reasons that education is very important is that it creates opportunities and allows us choices. It is vital that children learn to be successful readers so that they can access the world around them. Reading every day - both in and outside of school - allows children to develop their imagination, and encounter experiences and knowledge far beyond what they will see in their daily lives. Therefore, can I ask that you spend some time every day, either reading with your child or listening to them read.
Over the coming days we will begin contacting you to check that you are able to access the remote learning and help in any way that we can. If you have any difficulties before we are in touch, please contact the school.
Achievement for all – nurturing all individuals to be caring, hardworking, independent, respectful and tolerant members of ‘Team Grange Farm’ who are proud of themselves and their school.”
