School visits and trips
We provide a broad range of activities to enrich and inspire learning. Parents are invited to contribute towards the cost of these activities; each visit/trip is carefully evaluated in order that unreasonable demands are not made upon parents. A large proportion of the cost of visits and trips comes from the school budget.
Visits and visitors to school are a key part of our Learning Challenge Curriculum. Recently we have been to Nell Bank, The Deep, Skelton Grange, Ledston Estate and Leeds City Museum. Our amazing visitors have included the Young Shakespeare Company, Ian's Mobile Farm, Zoolab and author James Nicol.
Our Year 6 pupils have an annual residential visit, usually to an outdoor education centre. Team building activities, emotional awareness and personal development are a valuable part of this residential.
